In August of 2008, Coats Funeral Home purchased Sherman-Wilk Funeral Home, which was part of the Ortonville community for more than 28 years. This location represents Coats Funeral Home's second of three current Michigan locations.
Per an article in The Citizen, former owner Bob Wilk said, "The Coats family are wonderful people and the fourth generation in the funeral home business. They have a fine operation down in Waterford and will be a great asset to Ortonville."

Our six staff warmly serve you in a 4,000 square-foot facility that offers two chapels/visitation rooms and a comfortable lounge. Along with a barrier-free entrance, the updated interior is accessible for wheel-chairs and walkers.
